Cesc Fabregas believes Jose Mourinho is the manager he had the best connection with during his career.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder has played for some of the greatest coaches of all time in a hugely successful career which has seen him win 12 trophies for three different clubs.
Fabregas first worked under Arsene Wenger at Arsenal before joining Barcelona in 2011, where his manager was Pep Guardiola.
He spent three seasons at the Nou Camp before making the move to Chelsea, where his first boss was Mourinho.
And speaking to BBC Sport Fabregas chose those three as the top managers he ever played for, before admitting Mourinho is the one he would favour over all of them.
"I played under some of the best managers - not just in recent times but in history," Fabregas said.
"If I have to pick one or two: Pep Guardiola played the game in the style I love at Barcelona, same with Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, but under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea I had a really special year. He is probably the one I had the best connection with. The way he played with my mind was unbelievable.
"I would pick Guardiola, Mourinho and Wenger because I owe them all so much."
Fabregas, who has also played for the likes of Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri, is now at Monaco, where he had made 22 appearances in all competitions this season before football in France was suspended.
In the interview with the BBC Fabregas also opened up on a number of other topics, such as the best player he ever played against, which he names as Steven Gerrard, as well as his craziest teammates, which were, according to him, Diego Costa and Gerard Pique.
