Cesc Fabregas’ five-word message to sum up Mason Mount’s performance vs Watford

Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabragas has praised young Chelsea midfielder, Mason Mount, for his impact on the Blues’ crucial Premier League game against Watford.

Frank Lampard’s side went into the game knowing that only a win would take them back above Manchester United into fourth place, a position which could be the last remaining Champions League spot depending on the outcome of Man City’s appeal against their ban from the competition.

Wins by both United and Leicester in the 3:00 pm kickoffs put the pressure on Chelsea ahead of the game.

But first-half goals by Olivier Giroud and Willian would have put Blues’ fans' nerves more at ease for the second half of the match.

Ahead of the game, Lampard was forced to make at least one change to his lineup, with Mateo Kovacic being kept out with injury. Mason Mount was the man called on to replace the midfielder.

And the England international impressed in the first half, pulling the strings in the middle of the park as the Blues dominated a struggling Watford side.

Mount’s performance earned praise from Cesc Fabregas, who took to social media to give his simple assessment.

“It’s all Mason Mount here,” he wrote.

Mount has made his breakthrough at Chelsea this season but has endured a tough couple of weeks, as he was taken off at half-time in the FA Cup quarter-final win over Leicester.
