'Cesc 2.0!' - Some Chelsea fans go crazy over Billy Gilmour's impressive display against Grimsby

Billy Gilmour has been hailed by Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard after his impressive performance on his full debut for the Blues against Grimsby Town.

The 18-year-old was one of six academy graduates to feature for the Blues against Grimsby and he starred against the League Two side, pulling the strings for Chelsea in midfield with a 93 per cent passing accuracy in the game.

Lampard said Gilmour "ran the midfield" in a fantastic performance playing alongside Ross Barkley in the middle of the park, while the central midfielder has also received praise from former Chelsea and Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas.

"He played amazing tonight," the Spaniard tweeted. "Personality is the most important at this age and he's got it all right.

"Now time to keep learning and taking advantage of these games to prove the coach he's good enough."
