Cesar Azpilicueta urges Chelsea boss Frank Lampard not to rest him in FA Cup

Cesar Azpilicueta is desperate to win the FA Cup again and has urged head coach Frank Lampard not to rest him for Saturday's fourth-round trip to Hull.

The Blues are set to rotate their squad with Fikayo Tomori, Willy Caballero and Michy Batshuayi expected to appear against the Championship side.

Azpilicueta was one of nine changes in the previous round as Chelsea eased to a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, but the Spaniard says he wants to play despite a draining Premier League encounter against Arsenal on Tuesday.

“I am ready for every game,” he said. “I had a rest against Forest, but I am a player who always tries to be available for the manager. I like this competition a lot and want to win it again and come back to winning ways.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea this morning confirmed the end of their five-year shirt sponsorship deal with Yokohama, thought to be worth £200million.

The Japanese company will continue a relationship as ‘global tyre partner’, but a new name will adorn the club’s kits next season.
