Cesar Azpilicueta issues a plea to Chelsea fans over Maurizio Sarri chants

Cesar Azpilicueta has urged the Chelsea supporters to end their chants over Maurizio Sarri and all come together to back the team for the rest of the season.

Despite winning 2-1 at Cardiff City yesterday, the Blues were less than impressive and the away fans made their feelings perfectly clear towards the head coach.

Chants of 'F**k Sarri-ball' and 'We want Sarri out' were heard from those that had made the trip to Wales, while there has also become a large portion of supporters who are becoming increasingly frustrated with the Italian.

With Gary Cahill not being part of Sarri's plans for the majority of Chelsea's season, Azpilicueta has been the captain during their games and he has urged fans to end any negativity as they chase down a Champions League place for next season.

Ex-referee gives verdict on Chelsea equaliser at Cardiff & Rudiger incident that will shock fans

"In the bad moments we have to be all together. We know, and I feel, that we are all in the same boat and we push in the same direction.

"We are the first ones to not be happy with the way we are playing. The last couple of games we have lost a lot of points, especially away from home.

"I know the fans want us to win and when the results are not there, we are all responsible," Azpilicueta told the Standard . "They showed their thoughts, but our job is to keep working hard.

"We showed great spirit in the last 10 minutes because that is only the second time we have come from behind to win, both times have been against Cardiff.

"Now we have two massive games at home, where we have to take all six points."
