JIND: Ahead of Uttar Pradesh elections, BJP government is seeking to shift the farmer’s stir into Haryana from Delhi borders by hatching conspiracy consistently, alleged Haryana farmers and BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait who has emerged as an influential face of the agitation that began on Delhi borders on November 27 against three contentious farm laws passed by Centre on June 5, 2020.
Farmers alleged that Haryana’s BJP-JJP coalition government had made several attempts to shift the agitation in Haryana by creating situations, including chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s visit on May 16 to Hisar, which had to led a violent clashes between farmers and police.
Talking to TOI, Tikait said “It seems that BJP government has been trying to shift the agitation’s epicenter in Haryana for the past few months by provoking farmers in various districts and same is being done in Karnal but we will focus on Delhi borders only. We have set a morcha outside the mini secretariat in Karnal district and farmers have no issue to make sitin at more places in Haryana, but we will not shift the agitation to Haryana.,” he added.
