Central Westville to open in November

The shopping centre features a new prototype for the next level of semi-outdoor mall development and is the company's first low-carbon mall.

Central Pattana Plc has announced it plans to open the Central Westville shopping mall on Nov 29.

The firm is partnering with more than 300 popular shops to upgrade retail in western Bangkok and connect Ratchaphruek to the Sathon area to support urbanisation.

The new mall is expected to strengthen Central Pattana's reputation as the leading retail developer with the development of the semi-outdoor retail model. It is also the first design concept that integrates the "People & Pet Journey" to meet the needs of upper-class lifestyle customers who love pets and prefer living close to nature in every aspect under the concept of "The Bonding Park", which connects indoor to outdoor areas.

"With every project of Central Pattana, we intend to create a new sensation for the city," said Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, executive vice-president of marketing for Central Pattana.

The opening of Central Westville is comparable to a major elevation of the district, as it is a major destination that demonstrates the potential of the area, he added.

Located at a strategic location in western Bangkok, Central Westville will help elevate the retail industry and urban life, said Mr Nattakit.

The shopping centre features a new prototype for the next level of semi-outdoor mall development, and is the firm's first low-carbon mall.

Mr Nattakit said the new merchandise-mix brings in several well-known brands in every category, including those opening their first branch in Thailand.

He said the trendy and popular stores with new concepts, along with businesses under the Central Group such as Central Department Store, Tops, Power Buy, B2S, Supersports, OfficeMate and Auto1, meet the needs of upper-class lifestyle customers with high purchasing power who live in Ratchaphruek and surrounding areas.

There are over 400,000 people in the catchment area of Central Westville, Mr Nattakit said.

Central Westville, with a total investment of over 6.2 billion baht, is situated on 40 rai of land with a gross floor area of 93,000 square metres.
