Central pays SRT B1.3bn

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has received a rental fee of 1.3 billion baht for 2022 from the Central Group's Central International Development subsidiary for the Phahon Yothin plot.

SRT deputy governor Anan Phonimdang received the annual fee from Pandit Mongkolkul, co-group CFO of Central Group.

Aekkarat Sriarayanpong, the SRT's public relations director, revealed that the SRT had made a 20-year contract with Central International Development to use the land for the Central Ladprao shopping mall.

The contract began in 2008 and is valid until 2028 with a total rental fee of 21 billion baht, which is to be paid each year on Dec 19.

Central International Development has paid 12.3 billion baht to the SRT over the past 15 years.

It has divided the SRT's Phahon Yothin plot into two core and non-core business areas.
