Central Leagues Club closed for cleaning after COVID exposure

CENTRAL Leagues Club at Charlestown has closed for deep cleaning on Tuesday after receiving advice that a positive COVID-19 case had been at the venue on August 2,3 and 4.

The club announced on Facebook that it would be closed until further notice.

"To our Members and Guests,

"We have been advised by NSW Health Public Health Unit that the Club has had a positive COVID-19 case on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th August.

"The Club has organised a deep clean of the venue which will be carried out 10th August.

"The Club will be closed until further notice

"This information will be publicly available on the NSW Health website and likely be mentioned in the media.

"Stay safe and we will see you soon."

The club said people who attended the venue between 12pm and 5pm on Monday, August 2; between 5.30pm and 9.20pm on Tuesday, August 3; and between 4.40pm and 8.45pm on Wednesday, August 4 are considered "close contacts".
