Urban farmers' market Jingjai Ma Ha…Nakhon returns for the 13th edition. Organised by Central Group, led by Central Retail and Central Pattana, in collaboration with Central Tham, the event is scheduled to take place from July 14-19 across CentralWorld.
Famous as a marketplace celebrating quality products from communities across Thailand, Jingjai Ma Ha…Nakhon brings together authentic community enterprises and farmers from every region of the country.
Under the theme of "Baan Thak Muang Thor", translated as the Land of Weaving, the event showcases the unique identities, ways of life, and local wisdom of communities across Thailand through agricultural products, local delicacies, contemporary handicrafts and traditional craftsmanship.
A wide selection of ready-to-eat dishes is available including steamed mud crab from the Kaset San Sang Community Enterprise in Nakhon Si Thammarat; Vietnamese-style rice noodle soup and Vietnamese pork sausage from Pa Pi Shop in Lampang; and Bang Khla aromatic coconuts from Ban Ni Mee Rak Farm Suk Samran in Chachoengsao.
The event will also present a variety of handcrafted products, including tie-dye and batik fabrics from the Ban Khiri Wong Natural Dye Group in Nakhon Si Thammarat; Tai Lue woven textiles from the Nam Lai Tai Lue Ban Lai Thung Weaving Community Enterprise in Nan; and Na Muen Si woven fabrics from the Na Muen Si Weaving Community Enterprise in Trang. Visitors can discover quality products from model communities under the "Central Tham" initiative, Tops, Tops Tongtin, Thai Watsadu, GO Wholesale and Good Goods, along with partner vendors.
In total, the event will feature more than 127 shops from 55 communities across 53 provinces nationwide.
Highlights include avocado smoothies from the Ban Thep Phana Economic Crop Community Enterprise in Chaiyaphum; melons from Smile Melon Farm in Ayutthaya; sweet potatoes and purple sweet potato custard desserts from Mae Tha Sustainable Agricultural Cooperative in Chiang Mai, and many more.
