Central Florida mother, 4 children found dead

ORLANDO, Fla. _ A Central Florida mother and her four children were found dead, the Marion County Sheriff's Office announced Monday.

"We have finally located the remains of all four children," Sheriff Billy Woods said late Monday afternoon, hours after confirming the body of their mother, Casei Jones, 32, was located near Brantley County, Ga.

Earlier Monday, authorities said Jones' husband, Michael Wayne Jones Jr., 38, had been located in Georgia and was being questioned in connection with her death.

Casei Jones' family reported her and her four children missing Saturday night. They had not seen or heard from her in six weeks, sheriff's officials said.

The children are Cameron Bowers, 10, Preston Bowers, 5, Mercalli Jones, 2 and Aiyana Jones, 1. All had last been seen in the Ocala area four to six weeks ago.

"As a father, as a parent, it breaks my heart," Woods said, his voice breaking during a news conference. "As a sheriff, it angers me."

The Brantley County Sheriff's Office said Michael Wayne Jones Jr. gave himself up quickly when he was found after a traffic crash.

Woods has sent detectives to Georgia to talk to the suspect.

"We may not know why, but we will do our damnedest to find out how it was done," he said, adding shortly afterward: "That's evil. And evil needs to pay for what he did."

Jones currently faces charges of second-degree murder in his wife's death.
