Central Coast murder investigation leads to second man being charged

A second man has been charged over his alleged role in the death of a man on the Central Coast.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Slim Close, Watanobbi, about 11.30pm on October 25, where a 26-year-old was found with stab wounds to his chest and face.

He was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.

Investigators formed Strike Force Melanesia and last week charged a 28-year-old man with murder - he remains before the courts.

But a second man - 34-year-old Shannon James Dunk - was arrested at Moruya on the NSW South Coast on Monday and charged with one count of accessory after the fact - murder.

The Lake Munmorah man did not apply for bail when his matter was mentioned at Batemans Bay Local Court on Tuesday.

The matter was adjourned to Wyong Local Court on Wednesday.

Police said on Tuesday their investigations into the alleged murder on the Central Coast were ongoing.
