Having carried out more than 1,000 social projects, Central Group revised its corporate social responsibility strategy to be more than about giving but also engaging, resulting in the CSV, or creating shared value concept.

Based on this model, the Central Tham campaign kicked off on Monday at a luncheon hosted by Tos Chirathivat, chairman and CEO, and Pichai Chirathivat, executive director of Central Group, and held at Siwilai City Club, Central Embassy.

The more efficient and sustainable approach focuses on improving education and people's living standards, developing products in communities, preserving the environment as well as promoting peaceful communities and cultures.

Through numerous projects, Central Tham also aims at creating jobs and building strong communities.

The event presented products from some of the projects such as vegetables from Nam Dook Tai Farm Cooperative and Phu Tab Berg in Phetchabun and Sung Yod rice from Phatthalung.

The local produces were used by Chef Panupon Bulsuwan for cooking tasty dishes that he defines as a "food remedy" for the rainy season.
