Centra issues recall on roast turkey packets sold in Ireland

Packets of roast turkey are being recalled from Irish stores as their use-by date is wrong by a month.

Centra shops across Ireland are recalling a batch of its Premium Carved Roast Turkey.

The 120g packets have an incorrect use-by date of October 30, when it should be September 30.

Wholesale supplier Musgraves has issued the recall of the implicated batch.

A statement from the Food Safety Authority of Ireland said: "Musgraves is recalling the above batch of Centra Premium Carved Roast Turkey as an incorrect use-by date (30 Oct) is on the product.

"The correct use-by date is 30 Sept. The implicated batch is unsafe to eat after 30 September 2019."
