Center Parcs to reopen four sites next week - despite latest coronavirus restrictions

Some Center Parcs resorts in England will re-open next week despite the tough new regional tier restrictions imposed by the government.

Four resorts in Tier 2 – Elveden, Longleat, Whinfell and Woburn Forest – will open on December 4, but the Sherwood Forest site in Nottinghamshire will stay closed until December 17 at least because it is located in a Tier 3.

Center Parcs' chief executive Martin Dalby said: “We know there are lots of families in need of a break after the last few months, and we’re pleased we’ll be able to welcome them to four of our villages.

“Whilst it’s disappointing not to be able to reopen all of our UK villages, we know that we all have a part to play right now and, as always, the safety of our staff and guests is our absolute priority.

“We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure we can safely bring some festive cheer to our guests with our Winter Wonderland, and our teams are looking forward to welcoming families back to the forest in a safe way.”area.

The resort operator added: “We continue to support government advice with our priority being the safety and wellbeing of our staff and guests."

Guests whose booking have been affected by restrictions will have the option to change dates with £100 discount or cancel and claim a full refund.
