Center Parcs has made a big announcement regarding the swimming pool at one of its holiday villages.
Work is underway at the Whinfell Forest site in Cumbria to improve the swimming facilities for guests.
Part of that will include the addition of the popular Tropical Cyclone attraction that is used at other villages.
The holiday company said disruption is being kept to a minimum with all slides and pools open and available during the work.
Work is expected to be completed with the attraction opening for spring 2023.
A statement from Center Parcs, based in Nottinghamshire, on the works said: "Have you heard? Our Subtropical Swimming Paradise at Whinfell Forest is having some long overdue enhancements, including the addition of the popular Tropical Cyclone ride that you may have experienced at our other villages.
"Opening spring 2023. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on this thrilling development.
"Don’t worry, if you are due a break at Whinfell Forest soon, we have made sure that there is little guest disruption. The Subtropical Swimming Paradise remains fully open with all slides and pools available for you and your family."
It comes as holiday villages that Center Parcs run will trial a 'turn up and swim' session in the evenings from 6pm in October.
Before this, guests had to prebook a session in the pool due to coronavirus restrictions and monitoring numbers.
This is still in place during the day, and holidaymakers will be able to book a three-hour swim session during the daytime which Center Parcs will trial.
