Center Parcs confirms it has cut prices on all 2020 holidays

Center Parcs has confirmed it will be cutting prices for guest stays at its sites across the UK.

Now that lockdown restrictions have eased, many Brits are thinking about booking a holiday, which seemed almost impossible just a matter of weeks ago.

But while some people have decided to jet off abroad, others would prefer to stay on home turf for a staycation in 2020.

Luckily for anyone staying in the UK to holiday, Center Parcs has confirmed it will reduce prices due to the Government’s temporary five percent cut to VAT for hospitality venues, holiday parks and accommodation and other businesses affected heavily by the coronavirus outbreak.

The holiday park is offering discounted prices for anyone with a stay booked between now and January 12, 2021, reports SomersetLive.

Cost reductions in on-site restaurants will also be implemented.

The statement from Center Parcs says: "We welcome the reduction in VAT recently announced for the leisure, tourism and hospitality sector, at a time when the sector is managing significantly reduced capacity and demand.

Enter your postcode to find venues that are reopening in your area:

"Center Parcs will be reducing prices in recognition of the change in VAT, for both new short break bookings (new bookings from 15 July 2020 – 12 January 2021 for arrivals between those same dates) and applicable restaurant prices.

"Center Parcs have wanted to support the spirit of the government’s intentions and trigger fresh demand for UK leisure, hospitality and tourism and we therefore felt it was important to pass this reduction on to our guests."

Bookings for the Subtropical Swimming Paradise pools and Aqua Sana spas at Center Parcs will be available from July 27.
