Cenk Tosun posted a touching message to Andre Gomes after the midfielder suffered a horror injury in Everton's 1-1 draw with Tottenham.
Dele Alli opened the scoring for Spurs but Tosun equalised deep into stoppage time for the Blues with a powerful header following an excellent first-time cross by Lucas Digne.
However, the game was overshadowed by the suspected broken ankle injury to Portugual international Gomes and Tosun posted a message after the match to say nothing else matters when something like that happens.
The Turkish striker wrote: "You win, you draw, you lose but all that doesn’t matter when something like this happens.
"I wish I didn’t score, I wish we lost 0-5 and this didn’t happen.
"I know you will come back stronger bro and we will be there for you".
Everton frontman Tosun posted the message alongside a picture of the incident, a blue heart and the prayer emoji.
