Cenk Tosun makes Everton future declaration and reveals Carlo Ancelotti talks

Cenk Tosun says he will not look into a move away from Everton until he has fully recovered from his knee injury.

And the Turkish striker has revealed that Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti has said he would prefer not to lose him.

Tosun required surgery on his knee after sustaining an injury early into a loan spell with Crystal Palace last season, with the terms of the deal including the option for the London club to buy him for £20m.

But the 29-year-old is now focused on his recovery and insists that his future - whether that be at Everton or elsewhere - will only be resolved when he has recovered.

"I am injured so I have not held talks with anyone,” Tosun is quoted as telling A Spor, as cited by Turkish Football.

“I won’t be going anywhere before I have recovered, even if a side were to sign me they wouldn’t play me until the winter break.”

He added: "I worked with Ancelotti for 2-3 weeks after returning.

“He does not want me to leave and asks how I am doing with my recovery every day.

“It is early for me to return to Turkey. I need to achieve my goals first and for that to happen my priority is to make a recovery.”
