Cenk Tosun loan move from Everton to Besiktas confirmed

Everton have confirmed that Cenk Tosun has left the club to re-join Besiktas on loan.

This is the second successive January transfer window which has seen a move for the striker, who made the switch to Crystal Palace on a temporary basis in 2020.

A cruciate ligament injury brought that spell at Selhurst Park to an early end, with the Turkey international eventually making his return to the side for the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle in November.

Since that point, however, Tosun has struggled for regular game-time in the Premier League - with the rescheduled European Championships on the horizon this summer.

In total, the 29-year-old has made 58 appearances in all competitions for the Blues since arriving from Besiktas in January 2018, scoring 11 goals in that spell.
