Cenk Tosun hands Everton an injury boost but Blues remain open to £20m transfer

Cenk Tosun has returned to training with Everton this week.

The Turkish striker picked up a knee injury while on international duty following the end of last season.

Tosun escaped the need for surgery but knew he would miss a chunk of Everton's pre-season preparations.

The 28-year-old has been part of the Blues' travelling party in recent weeks as Marco Silva's side travelled to Switzerland and Germany but he is yet to feature in any warm-up games.

Tosun has joined in with full training this week, however, it is unclear if he will given game time against Werder Bremen on Saturday in Everton's final friendly.

Everton remain open to selling the former Besiktas striker and had put a £20m valuation on him.

The Blues are working on a deal to bring forward Moise Kean to Goodison which will bump Tosun further down the pecking order.
