Cenk Tosun has admitted he is "ready" to go back to Besiktas if Everton can reach an agreement with the Turkish side.
The striker made the move to Goodison Park from the Super Lig club in the winter of 2018 and had been linked with a potential switch back to them on multiple occasions since then.
Throughout this month, rumours have been circulating around the future of the 29-year-old as he has struggled for regular game time with the Blues since his return from a cruciate ligament injury sustained last season.
Carlo Ancelotti in the past has claimed that no offers have yet arrived for the Turkey international as the winter window begins to wind to a close.
However, the striker has now commented himself on a potential return to Besiktas, and has certainly not ruled out the possibility of it taking place this month.
Tosun told NTV Spor : "If Everton and Beşiktaş have an agreement, I am ready to wear the black and white jersey again.
"I would like to contribute to Beşiktaş until the end of the season. If Everton approves the transfer, it will not be a problem for me."
Tosun has not been involved in the squad for either of Everton's last two matches - the win over Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup on Sunday, or the draw with Leicester City on Wednesday.
The striker has made seven appearances in all competitions for the Blues in 2020/21, with his one goal coming against Rotherham United earlier this month.
