Boston Celtics star wing Jaylen Brown has made a name for himself in the city of Boston for what he has been up to off the court as much if not more so than what he has done on it, and that is no way a knock on his continually-improving game.
Rather, it’s a nod to the sort of work on civil rights and racial equity the Georgia native has been putting in day in and day out spanning the gamut from initiatives to change the way minority students are educated to becoming one of the leading voices speaking out against systemic police violence in the United States.
For such efforts, Brown was recently named by Boston Magazine as one of the 100 most influential Bostonians.
