Celtics rookie Romeo Langford joins the party in rookie photoshoot

If you thought that you hadn’t managed to spot Boston Celtics rookie Romeo Langford actually wearing Celtics green just yet, you weren’t the only one. With Langford sidelined while rehabilitating a thumb injury during the Las Vegas Summer League circuit, Boston’s highest selection in the 2019 NBA Draft was the lone Celtics rookie not to see a single minute of on-court action this offseason, aside from practice.

The 19-year-old Langford has prototypical size at 6-foot-6, 215 pounds and his fluid movement is uncanny, only serving to enhance his preternatural scoring instincts. The Celtics were lucky to draft Langford, who was projected to be a top-five pick entering the 2018-19 season.

That said, despite wearing crimson for most of his basketball career (at both the high school and college level), Langford looks pretty good in emerald — or shamrock, some would say — green.

CelticsWire’s Jesse Cinquini wrote a detailed scouting report on the rookie and by all accounts, Langford has the potential to be dominant on both ends of the court.

The photoshoot also helps put the rookies’ chemistry, which has been terrific thus far, on display. Led by rookie forward Grant Williams, the group has shared a lot of laughs and spent plenty of time bonding together off of the court, with Williams doing his best to break Langford out of his shell.
