Celtic's Premier Sports Cup last 16 opponents revealed after Sunday draw

Celtic have been drawn to face Dundee United in the last 16 of the Premier Sports Cup.

The tie will take place at Tannadice on the weekend of August 15/16.

Martin O'Neill's side reached the final of the competition last season, losing out to St Mirren under Wilfried Nancy.

The Scottish Premiership champions begin their title defence against Dundee on Monday, August 3, before facing Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday, August 9.

Celtic rounded off their pre-season preparations with a 2-2 draw against Ruben Amorim's AC Milan on Saturday afternoon.

"In terms of a pre-season game, I really enjoyed it," O'Neill said post-match.

"I thought we did some really good things in the game. Just a little spell after half-time where we lost a bit of concentration.

"But overall, it was a great workout for us."
