Celtics list three big men on injury report ahead of Pelicans game

The Boston Celtics dropped their second home game of the season when they lost to the LA Clippers on Saturday (Jan. 27.) They have now turned their attention toward the New Orleans Pelicans, who will be visiting the TD Garden on Monday (Jan. 29.)

However, the Celtics may rely on Neemias Queta to play significant minutes against the Zion Williamson-led team. On Sunday (Jan. 28) the franchise released their injury report, which included all three primary members of the center rotation. Kristaps Porzingis is listed as questionable, along with Al Horford, while Luke Kornet is doubtful due to left hamstring tightness.

Boston has staggered Horford and Porzingis on back-to-backs this season, with one sitting the first game and the other sitting on the second night. As the Celtics will face the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday (Jan. 30) we will likely see them stick to a similar rest pattern.

Yet, the injury to Kornet means that we will likely see Queta step into a bigger role over the next few games. Celtics fans will be hoping at least one member of the primary center rotation is available for selection on Monday as the team looks to bounce straight back into the win column and protect its home floor.
