Celtics injury update: Jaylen Brown OUT vs. Lakers; Timelord, Dennis Schroder questionable

Boston Celtics All-Star forward Jaylen Brown will not be suiting up to play against the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night, having been ruled out by the team in an announcement Friday morning with his right hamstring strain continuing to bother him enough that the team ruled him against the Lakers.

Both big man Robert Williams III (left knee tendinopathy) and Dennis Schroder (left ankle sprain) are listed as questionable for the contest set to start at 7:30 pm ET at TD Garden, and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James reportedly also a game-time decision for tonight’s latest edition of the two club’s storied rivalry according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

With both teams hungry for wins due to early-season struggles in part due to these injuries, the questionable players above may well yet take the floor, but it’s also possible that a detente of sorts is reached with both teams resting their dinged-up players for this meeting.
