It may also be the kick they need to add at the trade deadline instead of selling off pieces like guard Dennis Schroder.
The man in charge of those possible deals, president of basketball operations Brad Stevens, went on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher and Rich Thursday and spoke a bit about, among other things, player acquisitions —namely the possible return of famed Celtic Isaiah Thomas.
Thomas was dealt by the team for guard Kyrie Irving, who now plays part-time for the Brooklyn Nets.
