Celtics are ‘starting to understand what we need to do,’ says Al Horford of team’s better play

The Boston Celtics have been playing together as a team much more cohesively on both ends of the floor in recent games than they were in the early part of the season. And it has been paying off in wins greatly needed after the team’s rough start to 2021-22, with the team now over .500 for the first time this season.

And while Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart, and Dennis Schroder have all put their imprint on the recent winning trend, no player is more responsible for tying together all the loose ends on both offense and defense than veteran big man Al Horford. He shared some of his thoughts on the team’s recent change of fortune after the team’s 111 – 105 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday, clearly happy with the consistent effort and focus coming from his teammates.

“I think we’re starting to understand the level that we need to play night in and night out,” Horford explained.
