Kerr McInroy has joined Airdrie on-loan from Celtic until January in a major boost to Ian Murray's side.
The 21-year-old hasn't played for Ange Postecoglou's this season and has moved on loan in search of regular football.
McInroy has captained Scotland at various youth levels and he enjoyed a successful loan spell at Dunfermline last season.
The midfielder will be part of the Diamonds squad for the Lanarkshire derby against Clyde tomorrow and he was ecstatic to get the deal over the line.
McInroy said: “I’m delighted to be here. I heard yesterday morning that Airdrie were keen to get me in so I’m in training tonight and looking forward to the game on Saturday.”
“I like to get on the ball and try to make things happen, and hopefully I can get a couple of goals.”
Manager Ian Murray added: “I’m really grateful first and foremost to our own board of directors for getting it over the line, and also to Celtic, to get a really good player in.
“Kerr’s at Celtic training with the first team every day, he’s in good physical condition and he’s match-ready.
“We hope to improve him like every loan player we bring in, the main aim is to improve the team and improve the individual. The deal is until January but hopefully we can extend that if all parties are good with that.”
