Celtic vs Rennes had THIRTEEN Premier League teams scouting Europa League tie

Celtic's Europa League win over Rennes had 29 scouts in attendance with an astonishing 13 of the 20 English Premier League clubs represented.

Celtic were comfortably better than their Ligue 1 counterparts in the Group E match, running out 3-1 winners after goals from Lewis Morgan, Ryan Christie and Mikey Johnston.

In-demand striker Odsonne Edouard, who has topped a Daily Record poll of the top 50 players in Scotland, was rested for the game.

BBC journalist Kheredine Idessane tweeted a photograph of the list which contained some massive clubs, including Manchester City , Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal.

Closer to home, Rangers and Hibs, presumably on a mission to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the Hoops ahead of upcoming fixtures, were also on the list.

While a veritable who's who of moneyed clubs it also bizarrely features League Two outfit Oldham Athletic.

The Premier League sides attending the game were: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton, Burnley, Chelsea, Everton, Leicester City, Man City, Southampton, Spurs, West Ham and Wolves.
