Celtic vs Falkirk date revealed as Scottish Cup clash given Saturday night slot

Celtic have been handed a date for their Scottish Cup clash against Falkirk.

The Parkhead side will host the Bairns in the third round tie as they start the defence of their title.

And the fixture has been given a Saturday evening slot as it will go ahead on April 3, with a 7.30pm kick-off at Celtic Park.

The Scottish Cup was put on hold as the lower leagues were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But it got back up and running last night as the second round matches were completed. The biggest shock coming from Hearts as they were knocked out of the competition by Brora Rangers as the Highland side ran out 2-1 winners.

It was the same scoreline for Falkirk who dispatched Arbroath to set up the tie with holders Celtic.

The Bairns are sitting top of League One as they look to gain promotion back to the Scottish Championship and will hope to cause an upset against the Hoops.

John Kennedy's men want to end the season on a high with some silverware after Rangers ran away with the Premiership title.

Celtic vs Falkirk - When is it?

Celtic will host Falkirk on April 3.

Kick-off is 7.30pm at Celtic Park.
