Celtic v Kilmarnock: Chris Burke confident that depleted side can head to champions and pick up result

Chris Burke insists that Kilmarnock can head to Celtic Park and bag a result.

The veteran winger knows that it will be tough with his side going into the match with only one centre-back.

Kirk Broadfoot saw his appeal dismissed and will miss three games, Stuart Findlay misses one and Scott Boyd looks likely to be injured for the rest of the season.

But Burke remains confident, he said: "I feel for Kirk, he has had plenty of challenges in his career that he has got away with.

"It's just one we need to deal with, it's a hard one to take because he has been an integral part of our team.

"But it gives someone a chance to step in, which may work out."

He added: "Any team heading to Celtic Park will find it difficult to get a result, it's one that we have done before though.

"We need to put the result from last time there right, so if someone steps in it's an opportunity.

"I am confident that we are strong enough, we have shown in the past that it's something we can do.

"Players have stepped in before and it doesn't change the way we play."
