Celtic unveil new home kit for Premiership title tilt as date revealed for fans to get their hands on new shirt

Celtic have unveiled their new home kit for the coming season as they talk up "unbroken Hoops, unbroken history".

The Parkhead club are entering the second year of their deal with adidas and will hope that the new shirts bring them more joy on the field than the first.

Last season's effort was well-received by fans but after losing the title to Rangers and ending the season without a trophy a change will be welcomed.

Ahead of the new season in which they'll look to wrestle the Premiership crown back, Celtic have unveiled the home shirt they'll be wearing.

Unlike last season's it does not feature yellow detailing on the collar and sleeves, with adidas opting for a more minimalist design.

There is an inscription inside the collar reading "Our City. Our Colours. Our Club" and a woven badge on the front.

A video to promote the new kit sees Callum McGregor declare : "From the Gallowgate to Glasgow Green, since 1888, this is the home of football.

"Real football, real fans. Unbroken Hoops, unbroken history.

"It's time to wear the four leaf clover on your breast, and the green and white upon your chest.

"The future is our focus."

The shirt is available for pre-order now, but will not go on sale until August 5.

It will be priced from £65 and up, with delivery on the day of release if purchased before August 2.
