Celtic transfer update after Hoops linked to 'new Sadio Mane' and Postecoglou's important policy

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou says a positive environment at Parkhead is key to new signings settling in - as he's linked with more players.

The Australian has vowed to remain active until the transfer window shuts on September 1 in pursuit of improving his Hoops squad. One player is Alex Collado, the Barcelona attacker having Celtic as one of four options for a summer move from Catalonia, according to reports in Spain. Another forward has also been mentioned as a Parkhead target, Senegalese international Bamba Dieng.

He has been labelled 'the new Sadio Mane' in his homeland according to reports and French outlet Homme Du Match claim Dieng could join Postecoglou's team after was axed from senior training by manager Igor Tudor. Leeds United, Newcastle and West Ham are also believed to be keen.

Ross Barkley, the Chelsea attacking midfielder, is the other forward option linked to Celtic in recent days, with the club already having recruited Dazien Maeda, Benjamin Siegrist, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota, Alexandro Bernabei, Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jenz this summer.

The latter scored in a 3-1 Premiership victory against Ross County on Saturday and Postecoglou told Celtic TV that a warm welcome to a new area from those already in the building has been key.

He said: "For Moritz, first competitive game, he handled himself really well, and I think that's because from the moment he arrived he feels comfortable in the environment.

"It always helps when they have a positive start. What's really important for us is players feel comfortable as quickly as possible. The environment certainly does that and with the group of players we have here, anyone who is new is embraced."
