Celtic transfer state of play on Itakura, Solbakken, Semenyo and Mmaee

It feels like a Double-winning campaign has only just come to an end for Celtic.

However, Ange Postecoglou has quickly got down to work ahead of a massive season at Parkhead.

Champions League group stage football is back on the agenda as well as defending the Premiership crown.

Rangers will no doubt strengthen as they look to reclaim the league trophy, but Postecoglou has shown he is a shrew operator in the transfer market.

While Celtic supporters are desperate to see the permanent deals of Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers rubber stamped, there is plenty of other deals on the agenda.

Record Sport takes a look at the latest state of play.

Ko Itakura

Defender Ko Itakura is reportedly back on Celtic 's transfer radar this summer.

And Schalke have left the door wide open for a summer bid, according to reports in Germany.

Sky Deutschland state that the 2. Bundesliga side have told Manchester City they will not be able to afford the £5million purchase option agreed in the loan deal.

They note that Celtic are joined by the likes of Bournemouth and Fulham in the race to sign the 25-year-old.

Ola Solbakken

Solbakken has been one of Bodo/Glimt's star turns in recent seasons and impressed against both Celtic and Roma in this season's Europa Conference League.

He netted six goals in their Euro campaign and the 23-year-old is one of Norwegian football's brightest talents.

Reports had suggested he was on Celtic's radar this summer as an alternative to Jota. However, with a deal for the Benfica loanee edging closer another side has stepped into pole position.

According to La Repubblica, Roma have reached an agreement with Solbakken on a pre-contract with his Bodo deal set to expire in December.

Antoine Semenyo

After landing his first call-up to the Ghana national side, clubs are reportedly lining up for the 22-year-old Bristol City striker.

He's been on the radar of Celtic for a long time, according to Bristol World , and that interest appears to be continuing this summer.

The striker is out of contract in 2023, with a one-year option of an extension, and the same outlet report the situation is being monitored ahead of a potential bid.

Ryan Mmaee

The Moroccan international has been subject to some extensive analysis from Celtic in recent months, but Ferencvaros have stated they are reluctant to let the player leave.

The 24-year-old was the key man this term for the Hungarian champions having netted 19 goals on the way to the title.

Hungarian outlet Csak Foci state that Ferencvaros are willing to negotiate a transfer, but only in January with the club unwilling to come to the table this summer.
