Hapoel Be'er Sheva are leading the chase for Hibs goalkeeper Ofir Marciano.
The Israeli has snubbed a new deal at Easter Road and had been linked with Celtic.
But Record Sport understands there has been no contact from Parkhead for the 31-year-old who is in line to win his 25th cap for Israel against Scotland on Sunday.
And that has left the door open to Be’er Sheva, who have registered their interest, to try and tempt Marciano back to his homeland.
The 6ft 4in shotstopper will leave Hibs for nothing in the summer after five years in Leith and says he will leave a decision on his next move until the summer.
He admits it’s a gamble to knock back new terms without having anything else lined up so far.
But he vowed to give everything between now and the end of May to help secure third spot and try to win the Scottish Cup.
He said: “it is not an easy decision for me because I will always see myself as a Hibs man.
“I would like to stay professional to the end.
“It’s a challenge because we always tend to think about our future.
“But I would like to keep myself in the present and stay focused on our targets and missions at Hibs.”
