Celtic transfer round up as Royal Antwerp 'set' Aurelio Buta price tag

Royal Antwerp have reportedly set a price tag for Celtic in the race to sign Aurelio Buta.

Belgian outlet Voetbalnieuws claim that the Parkhead chiefs have put forward a €2.5million for the player, although Antwerp are holding out for €3.5million.

Buta joined Antwerp initially on loan from Benfica back in 2017 before making the move a permanent one in 2018. He has gone on to make 108 appearances for the Belgium club, scoring two goals and registering 19 assists in that time.

He would fill the vacant right back position at Parkhead with Anthony Ralston being the only right-back currently on the books at the club. Ralston, who started in Celtic's Champions League Qualifiers against Midtjylland, has been at the club since 2007.

Aaron Boupendza is the latest name to have been tipped with a move to Parkhead after the Celtic target was given the green light for an exit at Hatayspor by manager Omer Erdogan, according to Turkish outlets.

The 24-year-old Gabonese internationalist had a highly impressive season last year in Turkey having scored 22 goals in 36 appearances.

As the rumours regarding Odsonne Edouard's departure from the club begin to gather momentum with Brighton's interest, Boupendza could be the man to replace Celtic's star man.
