Celtic's pursuit of Rennes duo Sacha Boey and Brandon Soppy has been played down by sporting director Florian Maurice.
Ange Postecoglou is reportedly keen on the Roazhon Park pair also on his radar as he kicks his Parkhead rebuild into overdrive ahead of the Champions League playoff on Tuesday.
Le Parisien have claimed that talks with 20-year-old right-back Boey have progressed and an opening bid has been submitted.
However, Maurice played down any quick-fire decisions in the transfer market, with Ligue 1 clubs cutting their cloth amid changes to their television deal.
He told the French press when asked about potential outgoings: "You can also see that the market is rather calm. You have to be patient.
"We are advancing on certain tracks, but we have hope to find solutions as soon as possible.
"I can tell you that we are advancing on various possibilities.
"There are a lot of names that come out in the papers. We are in discussions.
"We take the time to analyse the situation and the profiles with the coach. You will know more when we have advanced more precisely."
The right-back spent last season on-loan at Dijon in Ligue 2.
Full-back Soppy is understood to be available for around £4million and the Ligue 1 side could opt to cash in as he enters the final year of his contract.
He has just one year remaining on his contract and Celtic could add him to their ranks on a cut-price deal.

Elsewhere, links with Celtic for Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman have been reignited south of the border.
Postecoglou has given Vasilis Barkas his chance between the sticks in pre-season, with Scott Bain and Conor Hazard also battling to be first choice.
However, Leeds Live report that Leeds United face competition from the Hoops for the signature of the stopper.
They note that Woodman is to become first-choice and the Scottish Premiership may be the best option.
