Celtic transfer news bulletin as Kings Kangwa 'targeted' for £2.6m deal while Yang Hyun Jun trump card emerges

Celtic are reportedly interested in a deal for Red Star Belgrade midfielder Kings Kangwa as Brendan Rodgers kicks his recruitment drive up a gear.

The returning boss has his feet firmly under the table and completed the signing of Odin Thiago Holm earlier on Thursday with the 20-year-old penning a five-year deal. But it seems he's not satisfied with his midfield options there as The Guardian claim Kangwa is a target. The 24-year-old, who has been capped 15 times by Zambia and scored in their recent AFCON win over Ivory Coast, is said to be available for €3m (£2.6m).

It's claimed he is also being watched closely by Nottingham Forest, Fiorentina, Lille and Montpellier - with Premier League side Forest already "opening talks." Celtic of course aren't short of midfield options with Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, Matt O'Riley, Aaron Mooy, David Turnbull and now new signing Holm all available but there remains a chance those options could slim down this summer.

Hatate has been linked heavily with a reunion with Ange Postecoglou at Spurs and speaking while away on Japan duty, he hailed Postecoglou for helping him hit the heights he has at Parkhead. He said: "Mr. Ange is a coach who has a clear line with the players, so he doesn't talk to me much during practice. However, I have really grown with Mr. Ange's aggressive football.

"It is thanks to him that I can find free space by myself, and I am about to go forward strongly according to this football. I think you have come this far. In the first half of this season, there was a time when I was a little worried, so I went to Mr Ange at that time. He taught me things. He also taught me new things, so I really respect him.

"I think he's someone who gives me hints. I did well for a year and a half, but I think it's great that I was able to do it under Mr. Ange."

Meanwhile reports in South Korea say an offer has been lodged for South Korean winger Yang Hyun-Jun. The Parkhead club have kept a close eye on the South Korean market, signing Hyeongyu Oh after a deal for Cho Gue-sung didn't come to fruition.

It's believed there is plenty of interest elsewhere in Jun, an under-21 cap for his country and one of their most highly-rated young prospects. But he is said to be keen on moving to Glasgow with Oh's presence a key factor in his interest.
