Celtic transfer news bulletin as Ange Postecoglou 'on verge of completing' TRIPLE J-League swoop

Ange Postecoglou is reportedly set to complete a triple J-League swoop.

The Celtic boss has been linked with a string of top talent in the Far East.

And now reports in Japan claim the Parkhead boss is poised 'to win' the race for all three of Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi.

Japanese website Kyodo News have reported that the three players are set for moves with their respective clubs happy to deal with the Hoops.

The J-League season has just finished, making it an ideal time to do deals as Postecoglou has previously alluded to in his media conferences.

Ideguchi is the most recent name to emerge of the trio with the 25-year-old midfielder having previously had a spell in Britain with Leeds United, albeit he didn’t make an appearance.

He is currently turning out for Gamba Osaka, making 29 appearances in the J-League last season.

Maeda was the first to be linked with Celtic and is currently with Yokohama F Marinos, the club Postecoglou left to move to Parkhead.

And Yahoo Japan provided more detail on that potential transfer earlier on Saturday, claiming a summer transfer fee of around 200 million yen (£1.4m) is set for after an initial January loan.

The sharp-shooter would add goals to the Hoops while Hatate is an attacking left-sided full back but is thought to be earmarked for a midfield role at Celtic.

Postecoglou knows the market well from his time in Japan and the success of Kyogo Furuhashi makes it an obvious destination to return to.

The former Australia boss is keen to strengthen in January and wants to strike early with Hatate out of contract with Kawasaki Frontale in January.
