Celtic transfer news as Aberdeen make Leigh Griffiths 'call' and eye up Hoops target

Aberdeen will not make a move for Leigh Griffiths this summer, according to a report.

The Celtic striker has been linked with a switch to Pittodrie after Scott Brown confirmed he will join the Dons as a player/assistant manager at the end of the season.

Griffiths was tipped to follow suit with new STephen Glass boss at the helm, but the Daily Record claim the veteran talisman is not on Aberdeen's radar.

The Scotland international has an option to leave Parkhead in the summer, but the report says former club Hibs is his most likely destination if he does leave the Hoops.

Glass is on the lookout for multiple strikers, however, as he looks to bring in reinforcements ahead of his debut season in charge.

He wants on-loan Hamilton star Bruce Anderson to pen a new contract as loan spells for Fraser Hornby, Callum Hendry and Florain Kamberi are set to to come to an end.

Aberdeen are also keen on Motherwell defender Declan Gallagher, as well as extending the deals of out of contract stars Ash Taylor and Tommie Hoban.
