Celtic transfer bulletin as Maccabi stand firm on Mohammad Abu Fani strategy and key Alexandro Bernabei test named

Celtic will be made to wait if they want to land Mohammad Abu Fani this summer, according to a report. The midfielder will be allowed to leave Maccabi Haifa for the right price in this window but the Isreali side are in no rush to cash in.

Record Sport revealed Ange Postecoglou is among a host of managers with the 24-year-old midfielder on their radar and that interest doesn't appear to have cooled this summer, with Celtic, Eintracht Frankfurt, Royal Antwerp and Standard Liege reportedly chasing a deal. Isreali outlet Sport 5 state that Maccabi Haifa are expecting offers but won't let him leave before the end of July.

That is because the club want to keep their key man at the club for the round Champions League qualifying double header against Olympiacos as they push for the group stage. It is noted that Celtic were reportedly impressed with Abu Fani's performance in the Nations League clashes with Albania and Iceland, where he played alongside Israel teammate Liel Abada.

Vinicius Souza is attracting interest from across Europe with Ange Postecoglou among his admirers.

The 23-year-old is owned by the City Group and is currently under contract with their feeder side Lommel, despite spending last season on loan at Mechelen. Vinicius and Lommel team-mate Diego Rosa are currently in Manchester as they are set to find clarity on their future.

While Ajax and PSV have been mentioned, his options appear to be narrowing with Fenerbahce reportedly pulling their interest, while reports in Belgium suggest Club Brugge are moving on to other targets.

Alexandro Bernabei 's unveiling appears imminent with the defender touching down in Glasgow as to complete his £3.75 million, five-year move from Lanus to Celtic.

He will be looking to challenge Greg Taylor for a starting spot in the side next season, with the big things expected from the Argentine 21-year-old next season.

Argentina legend Gabriel Heinze has warned Bernabei that his real test won't be in the Scottish Premiership, but in the Champions League group stage next term.

The former Manchester United hero: "I am pleased to see him joining a club with such tradition.

"Yes, Celtic are by far the best team domestically, but he has key challenges in the UCL and maybe in the national team. This is great business from Postecoglou and his team."
