Celtic transfer bulletin as Jordan Larsson breaks silence on next move while Mohammad Abu Fani interest grows

Celtic fans are desperate to see more new faces come in the door at Parkhead as Ange Postecglou seeks quality for the Champions League group stage.

And a fairytale move for Jordan Larsson has been dominating the agenda after the son of Celtic legend Henrik has his contract at Spartak Moscow ripped up. The free agent can now look for another club after leaving Russian football due to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine and a move to Glasgow's east end has caught the imagination of fans.

However, there is no doubt that Larsson Jr will be hot property this summer after netting an impressive 26 goals his first 62 appearances in Russia before going on to Swedish side AIK in April on a temporary basis. The 25-year-old started for his loan club in the draw with Degerfors on Sunday but his temporary deal has also been ended after his Spartak contract was ended.

The striker is weighing up his options but has refused to rule out extending his stay with the Allsvenskan title hopefuls. AIK currently sit in second spot in the Swedish top flight. Larsson told Fotbollskanalen when asked about signing a permanent deal with AIK: "We'll see. It depends on what happens. I can talk to my agent, then we can sit down and decide. But AIK is definitely in the picture, and we have a dialogue."

Elsewhere, a frontrunner has reportedly emerged in the race to land Macca Haifa's Mohammad Abu Fani this summer. The Premiership champions watched the 24-year-old while on international duty during the recent Nations League fixtures but were far from alone. Sport 5 state Union Berlin are leading the race for a deal this summer. Europa League finalists Eintracht Frankfurt, Werder Bremen and Celtic all credited with an interest, but Union have reportedly made the Israel star their number one midfield target.

Manchester City have reportedly upper their transfer valuation of Ko Itakura , with Celtic among the clubs reportedly admirers of the centre-back. BILD report that the new asking price is £5 million, which has scared off a number of Bundesliga sides. Borussia Monchengladbach had looked to be leading the race for the Japan international.
