Motherwell goalkeeper Liam Kelly loves going away with the Scotland national team - but insists he must remain focused on achieving victories with the Steelmen.
Graham Alexander's side have enjoyed a largely positive start to the Premiership season, although they were beaten 2-0 by Celtic on Saturday.
Kelly re-joined Motherwell in the summer after a hugely successful spell on-loan from QPR last season. It's earned the 'Well vice-captain a recall to the national team, where he has played deputy to Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
Motherwell's number one has been involved in both the September and October international camps as Scotland close in on a World Cup 2022 play-off spot.
"It's amazing when you are away with the national team, especially when the results are going well," said Kelly. "It gives you that good feeling to be part of a positive group.
"It's been a good experience but I want to win as many games as possible for Motherwell. I'm always delighted to be with Scotland, but I want to win with Motherwell as much as I can."
Kelly admits the Steelmen were simply not able to match Celtic's two moments of quality during Saturday's Premiership meeting between the pair.
Tom Rogic split the 'Well defence open to allow Jota to score before Fir Park academy graduate David Turnbull netted a wonderful strike.
The result drops Motherwell to sixth in the Premiership, and while not performing badly on the day, Kelly says Alexander's side can have no complaints about the game.
"We were playing against a really good team so we knew they would have quality," said Kelly. "They can hurt you - and they did on two occasions.
"It was a good pass from Tom Rogic for the first one and a wonder strike from David for the second. Sometimes you just need to hold your hands up and say you got beat by the better team.
"We were quite good defensively and didn't give up many opportunities. Every game in this league is a good test but I never had much to do. Celtic were the better team though.
"You're playing good teams all the time - and we are a good team ourselves. Sometimes the result is going to go against you. I thought we looked together in the game.
"There weren't many big spaces. There wasn't a basketball feel to the game. We were trying to control the game and we were really in the game. These are the ones you love playing in."
Kelly has been with Turnbull - who earned Motherwell a club-record fee with his move to Celtic last year - on international duty this month. He says it's the first time the Celtic midfielder has beat him with a shot.
"Me and David joke about it," said Kelly. "He's hit that many shots into me and he's never scored before! I told him I would let him score one.
"Fair play to him, he's a top player. It's a top strike. If I saw it, I could maybe have dived for it. But I don't think I would have got to it, not even on my best day."
