Celtic told Ferencvaros Champions League tie is '50-50' as Hungarian champs make confident prediction

Ferencvaros star Somalia has warned Celtic they’ll be no Champions League pushovers – and says their Euro clash is a 50/50 tie.

The sides meet on Tuesday for a one-off tie, after the Premiership champions swept aside KR Reykjavik 6-0.

Despite that result though Somalia doesn't feel the Hungarian title winners are underdogs at Celtic Park, having beaten Swedish champs Djurgardens in the first qualifying round.

The Brazilian midfielder hailed his side’s defensive qualities and is convinced they can cause an upset at Parkhead on Wednesday. Somalia, 31, DOESN’T think Neil Lennon’s men are clear favourites to go through and expects a tight encounter.

He said: “Celtic has a lot of history and tradition as a club – but they are not favourites for this match.

“Without fans it makes our chances level. We have a 50 per cent qualifying chance. To play in a mythical stadium like Celtic Park will be magnificent. But this will increase our performance.

“If Celtic are going to beat us, it will be difficult for them. We won’t be an easy opponent.”
