Celtic to back Neil Lennon as boss 'won't quit' amid mounting pressure

Celtic will back Neil Lennon and he won't step down from the Parkhead hotseat, according to separate reports.

The Hoops boss is under pressure after the Premiership champions drew 2-2 with Hibs at the weekend, while Rangers increasd their gap at the top to 11 points with a 4-0 victory over Aberdeen.

But the Daily Mail claim the club will "stand by" the Northern Irishman amid the poor run, but are aware the situation remains "fragile".

The Herald and Times Sport are also reporting Lennon won't quit on his own accord and will try and work through this rough patch and get Celtic back on track.

Celtic desperately need to put a run together to close the gap on their city rivals.

But first they have to turn their attention to the Europa League as they face Sparta Prague away from home on Thursday night.

It's a must win game for the Hoops if they are to keep their knockout dream alive after a horrendous 4-1 defeat to the Czech side last time out. Three points would also go a long way in taking the pressure off Lennon as he looks to turn things around.
