Celtic will have to wait to be awarded the Scottish Premiership title as Friday's meeting to decide the league's fate delayed the final call.
The Hoops hold a 13-point lead over rivals Rangers that will see them crowned champions when the top flight is ended on a points-per-game average.
Last month's controversial SPFL vote ended the lower leagues with the provision to do the same in the Premiership.
But, while all clubs agree that the season cannot continue, a video conference on Friday to make a call on the division ended with the final decision delayed until next week.
The lengthy summit lasted around one and a half hours but in the end it was decided to postpone the end resolution.
It also means an anxious wait for Hearts, who will be relegated to the Championship on the same basis if the league is called early.
Record Sport understands that in the meeting all Premiership clubs reaffirmed their stance that the current season cannot be played to a finish.
And the result that will crown Celtic nine in a row winners is expected to be ratified at an SPFL board meeting on Monday.
