Celtic team v Bristol City revealed as Kris Ajer and Ryan Christie miss out

The Celtic team to take on Bristol City in tonight's friendly has been named.

Ange Postecoglou takes his team to the Robins High Performance Centre as the Scottish Premiership side ramp up their preparations ahead of next weeks' crunch Champions League qualifier against FC Midtjylland.

The Aussie head coach named a stronger side for last weekend's win over Charlton than he did against Sheffield Wednesday, which saw mostly youngsters take to the pitch before a few late cameos from the bug guns.

The Scotland contingent of David Turnbull, Callum McGregor and Greg Taylor made their return against the Addicks.

All three start tonight with McGregor donning the captain's armband.

Visilis Barkas was due to start betwen the sticks, but he's had to withdraw and Scott Bain replaces him.

Olivier Ntcham is among the substitutes although there's no place for Kristoffer Ajer, or Ryan Christie.

Celtic: Bain, Ralston, Urhoghide, Welsh, Taylor, Soro, McGregor, Johnston, Turnbull, Dembele, Ajeti.

Subs: Ntcham, Shaw, Robertson, Murray, Henderson, Montgomery, Hjedle, Moffat.
