Celtic team predicted vs St Mirren as Neil Lennon faces Ryan Christie decision

Neil Lennon could throw Ryan Christie straight back into the Celtic starting XI after recovering from injury.

The midfielder missed the 2-1 win over Motherwell at the weekend after hurting his ankle against Kilmarnock a week ago.

But will be fit in time for the visit to Paisley which is a huge boost for the Parkhead side.

Lennon opted to start Tom Rogic against the Steelmen, but he will likely bring Christie back into the fold, who impressed against Killie before he was replaced by Moi Elyounoussi 20 minutes from time.

There shouldn't be too many changes, however, as Celtic look to make it three wins on the bounce since their defeat to St Mirren at Parkhead.

Celtic should start Scott Bain in goal and an unchanged back four of Jonjoe Kenny, Kris Ajer, Stephen Welsh and Greg Taylor.

Lennon would ideally give Scott Brown a rest to avoid playing three games in a week, but Ismaila Soro is a game-time decision after being involved in a car crash in the bad weather yesterday.

The Ivorian should get the nod if passed fit and will be joined in midfield by David Turnbull, Callum McGregor and Christie.

Odsonne Edouard, who has scored three goals in his previous two games, will partner Albian Ajeti up front after being cleared of his simulation charge against Kilmarnock.

Celtic predicted XI vs St Mirren: Bain, Kenny, Ajer, Welsh, Taylor, Soro, McGregor, Turnbull, Christie, Edouard, Ajeti.
